Troubleshooting Guide
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Aircraft will not
“throttle up” but
all other controls
seem to function.
•Userdidnotlower
throttle trim and throttle
stick prior to initializing
the aircraft.
•Lowerthrottlestickandthrottle
trim to their lowest settings.
Aircraft’s yaw/
rudder control is
inconsistent or
requires excessive
trim to neutralize
yaw movement.
•Userdidnotcenter
yaw/rudder trim prior
to initialization of 5-in-1
unit.
•Usermovedor
swayed aircraft during
initialization process.
•Disconnectflightbattery,center
rudder/yaw trim and re-initialize
aircraft. Pages 28–30
•Disconnectflightbatteryandre-
initialize aircraft. Pages 27–30.
LED on
Aircraft remains
flashing and
cannot be
controlled by
transmitter.
•Userdidnotwaitat
least 5 seconds
after powering their
transmitter prior to
connecting the flight
battery to the Aircraft.
•Userboundthe
Aircraft to a different
transmitter.
•Transmitterwastoo
close to Aircraft
during the initialization
process.
•Userusingametalor
reflective surface (e.g.
pickup truck bed, glass
table, etc).
•Un-plug,thenreconnectflight
battery.
•RebindAircrafttoyourdesired
compatible transmitter.
Page 15
•Movetransmitter(poweredon)a
few feet from the Aircraft
prior to reconnecting the flight
battery.
•Moveofforawayfromlarge
metal objects.
Aircraft does not
function after
connecting flight
battery and
aircraft smells
burnt.
•Usermayhave
accidentally connected
the flight battery with
the wrong polarity.
•Replace5-in-1board
(EFLH3001) and ensure the RED
polarity marks are facing the
same direction when connecting
the flight battery to the 5-in-1
board.
Aircraft appears
to show significant
decrease in flight
time.
•Flightbatteryisnotfully
charged.
•Inadequatepowerto
the charger.
•EFLB1201Sbatteryhas
been over-discharged
multiple times, causing
damage to battery life.
•Rechargeflightbattery
completely.
•ReplaceDbatteriesin
charger and recharge flight
battery completely.
•ReplaceEFLB1201Sbatteryand
read Battery Warnings and
Guidelines section of manual.
Pages 7–8
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Charger light stays
on after Li-Po
battery is
disconnected or
remains on for
longer than 40
minutes when
charging.
•Dbatteriesinthe
charger have
inadequate power.
•ReplaceDbatteriesinthe
charger or switch to power
supply (EFLC1005) included with
your Blade mSR.
Aircraft hovers
with a “toilet bowl”
effect type circle
on its own.
•Bindingintheupper
rotor head.
•Damagedrotorblades
•Missingarotorhead
linkage.
•FollowPrecision Swashplate
Calibration Tool section for
proper adjustment. The flybar
should seesaw freely, if not,
there is binding in the rotor
head. Page 37
•Replacerotorblades.
•Installreplacementcontrollink.
Aircraft appears
to drift towards a
certain direction.
•Userdidnotre-trimthe
aircraft.
Read Understanding the
Primary Flight Controls.
Pages 27–30
Controls appear to
be reversed after
binding to a
different
transmitter.
•Userdidnotinitially
set up their transmitter
prior to binding to the
Aircraft.
•ReadControl Test section of
this manual. Pages 20–22
Aircraft constantly
spins on its own.
•UserdidnotCENTER
the rudder trim on the
transmitter prior to
initialization of aircraft.
•Usermovedorswayed
the aircraft during the
initialization process.
•Userhasnottrimmed
the aircraft to compen-
sate for battery voltage
drop during flight.
•DamagedorBroken
Tail Rotor Blade, or
Tail Rotor is pushed in
against the motor case.
•Centertheruddertrimonyour
transmitter and re-initialize the
aircraft.
•Unplug,thenreconnecttheflight
battery and DO NOT move or
sway the helicopter during
initialization.
•ReadUnderstanding Primary
Flight Controls section of this
manual. Pages 27–30
•ReplaceTailRotorEFLH3017or
remove and re-install properly.
Aircraft has bad
cyclic control
interactions (e.g.
user gives forward
elevator input and
helicopter flies
sideways to the
left or right)..
•Swashplateanti-rotation
pin could have popped
out of the anti-rotation
bracket on the main
frame.
•Carefullyplacetheswashplate’s
anti-rotation pin back in place.
